A new Channel 4 documentary will delve into Bradford’s underground music scene of the 1970s.

Documentary makers are looking to speak to Bradford people who are passionate about Northern Soul, Reggae, Ska, Punk, and any other musical subculture.

The documentary film, Sons & Daughters of Subculture, will pay homage to the vibrant and diverse origins of Northern Soul, Reggae and Punk.

The music, fashion and dance movements found faith in Bradford's spirited venues of the 1970's - and it’s a scene that's still very much alive and kicking.

It is a film project by Idle Work Factory, an inclusive film production company based at The Unit in Old Sunwin House, Keighley.

An advert for filming reads: “Are you from Bradford and passionate about Northern Soul, Reggae, Ska, Punk or any other musical subculture?

“We're looking to connect with Bradford people of all ages & backgrounds with an interest in music led subculture to feature Channel 4 Documentary.”
