Ruth Ker was the pick of Airienteers’ competitors during a regional event at Wincobank, near Sheffield.
On testing terrain, the veteran international, from Leeds, finished fourth on the 5.2km blue course.
Baildon’s Steve Watkins also had a good run on the 6.5km brown course to take seventh place.
Other notable performances included Sybil Fisher’s sixth position on the 2.4km orange course, Matthew Burden coming 11th on the 6.5km brown course and Lee Beavers finishing 12th on the 5.2km blue course.
Airienteers hold the next event in their Autumn O-Lite series at Adel Woods tomorrow, an ideal informal ‘taster’ event for those new to orienteering.
