LEEDS and Bradford Triathlon Club have crossed the line first in Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving public vote.
Their reward for being the highest-scoring voluntary group nationwide, receiving over 460 votes after local supporters logged on to skiptongrg.co.uk, is up to £500 of funding to help grow the club.
Award-winning Leeds and Bradford Triathlon Club, which is run by an elected committee, provide opportunities for all to get involved in the sport that has grown in popularity since the Brownlee brothers achieved global success.
They champion youth sport and encourage newcomers to join, as well as offering training facilities for the more professional to continue honing their skills.
The club will use the funding to invest in further safety equipment that will enable them to welcome even more members to train with them.
