Bingley Harriers triathlete takes bronze
BINGLEY Harriers' Sophie Brown finished third female as 350 budding junior triathletes took part in the annual Junior Aquathlon run by Leeds Bradford Triathlon Club.
An aquathlon consists of a swim followed by a run. The event was held at the Edge sports complex, within the Leeds University campus.
The swim was in the pool that the Brownlee brothers and the GB performance squad train in, followed by a run around a closed road loop around the campus.
The distances varied according to age group from a 50 metre swim and 600m run for Tristar Start (eight-year-olds) up to a 400m swim and 3km run for 13-18 year old youths and juniors.
