Bradford City have been given a new date for their League Two game at Barrow.

The initial clash was controversially called off around an hour before kick-off on a sunny Saturday, February 24, with referee Tom Nield insisting that a lack of bounce for the ball in one of the goalmouths rendered the pitch unplayable.

That meant the clash at Holker Street was swiftly rearranged for Tuesday, April 9.

But overnight rain left the pitch in a terrible state yesterday morning and placed the fixture in real doubt.

Referee Ross Joyce travelled up to Barrow for an early 11am pitch inspection and was quick to call it off due to the waterlogged pitch.

With Barrow in action next Tuesday at Crawley Town and the season ending on the last Saturday of this month, there was only one available date left to play the fixture.

And this morning, City have confirmed that their third attempt to face Barrow away in the league this season will come on Tuesday, April 23.

The game, like last night's was supposed to, will kick off at 7:45am.
