Drivers on their mobile phones, drugs, no insurance or seatbelts and disqualified motorists.

These are just some of the results from the latest roads crackdown by Bradford South’s neighbourhood policing team.

Marking anti-social behaviour awareness week, West Yorkshire Police worked alongside partner agencies, councillors and Operation Steerside at Quora Retail Park, Clayton.

Officers issued three tickets for using a mobile phone whilst driving; one ticket for driving without due care and attention; two tickets and vehicle seizures for drivers without insurance and one vehicle seizure for a disqualified driver.

Other offences included a section 59 warning to a motorist driving in an anti-social manner; a ticket for a driver not wearing their seatbelt; two stop and searches for misuse of drugs and one cannabis seizure which saw a community resolution served.

Tickets were handed out to two drivers who had not secured a child under three with a seat belt, four drivers who failed to wear a seatbelt, one driver who exceeded the 30mph limit.

There were also tickets for a driver whose car’s cracked windscreen put the vehicle in a dangerous condition and another ticket for someone with a defective taillight.
