COUNCILLORS have decided which roads in the Bradford East area will share a pot of £300,000 for resurfacing works.

Each of Bradford Council’s five area committees have been allocated that amount to fund works in their constituency, and are in the process of allocating where the cash will go.

Bradford East’s Area Committee recently voted where its money would be spent.

In the coming 12 months resurfacing work will take place on Stony Lane and Victoria Road, Eccleshill, Broad Lane, Tyersal, Nelson Street (between Croft Street and Mill Lane), Florence Street, Laisterdyke, Hubert Street, Bradford Moor, Mary Street (off Bowling Back Lane) Tenterfields, Apperley Bridge and Poplars Park Road, Bolton.

Some of the works will be the full stretch of road, while others will be sections.

The committee heard there was a reserve list of £422,500 worth of road works that would be dealt with in future financial years.
