25 years ago: Trolley buses were coming back to Bradford after it was announced work on the new scheme, the first of its kind in Britain, was to start the next year.
50 years ago: Residents near the Cliffe Gardens site in Bradford Road, Shipley , which was proposed to be developed as a £1.25 million sporting and recreational centre, had meetings with Shipley Council and representatives of the company concerned and their opposition was as determined as ever.
