From the Telegraph & Argus of September 6, 1981...The Yorkshire Ripper's solicitor Kerry MacGill has denied reports that Peter Sutcliffe has been approached by film makers. He said middle man Rocky Ryan, who claims to have seen Sutcliffe to negotiate compensation terms, had not been approved at Parkhurst prison on the Isle of Wight. Mr Ryan claimed £50,000 would be paid to Ripper victims, on Sutcliffe's request, from proceeds.

From the Telegraph & Argus of September 6, 1956...Just back from Leningrad and Moscow, after taking part in one of the first unofficial visits by British and American tourists to the Soviet Union, are two Bradford men. Neville Packett, of Bradford stockbrokers Sydney Packett and Sons, and Alwyn Kerney, of wholesale tobacconists Arthur Kerney Ltd, on Leeds Road, were greeted by English-speaking tourist guides.
