25 years ago: A plaque was unveiled outside the city’s first Joshua Tetley Heritage Inn in Barkerend Road by Bradford’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Olive Messer.
50 years ago: Bradford East MP Frank McLeary was to put a question to the Minister of Transport in the House of Commons about difficulties experienced by heavy goods vehicles on the M1 after a Bradford haulage firm banned its drivers from using the motorway.
