A bid to oust non-union employees of Keighley Council was made at last night’s meeting of the Trades Council, when Mr R Hardacre (secretary of the Keighley branch of the National Union of Public Employees) wanted the meeting to write to the Labour group of Keighley Council – which has a majority – asking them to introduce the “closed shop”.
