A flying tackle saved a Bradford jewellers £6,000. Bradford University laboratory supervisor Roger Vickers, 30, chased a 25-year-old man from lR and M Arenaberg's shop in Ivegate, Bradford, who had stolen a tray of 14 diamond rings and shot out the door. After the man was tacked by Mr Vickers, he dropped the rings.

A missing Bradford girl has been found. Six-year-old Sheila Crossfield, of Wibsey, returned home to Reevy Crescent, last night to a distraught but happy mother. The young girl had been missing since the previous morning when her mother had sent her on an errand to a post office In Halifax Road.
