25 years ago: The newly-installed chairman of Bradford Health Authority, Rodney Brooke, of Ilkley, warned that medical services across the district were facing "enormous changes" with NHS reforms and the large-scale redevelopments of St Luke's Hospital and the city's Royal Infirmary.
50 years ago: Electricity prices in Bradford were set to rise sharply after an announcement by the Yorkshire Electricity Board, who described the hike as "unwelcome news" but one forced upon them by increased rates at the Central Electricity Generating Board.
