25 years ago: Blue comedian Chubby Brown left Bradford councillors seeing red after a sell-out performance at St George’s Hall. Some councillors were so offended by his act they called for him to be banned from ever appearing at any of the council-run concert venues again.
50 years ago: Cutler Heights Old Age Pensioners Association held a festive ‘do’ at Fountain Hall with 180 of them sitting down to a turkey dinner, gifts and a concert party.
