25 years ago: The rugby ball for Bradford Northern’s match at Odsal stadium was delivered from the sky in the hands of seven of the famous Red Devils parachute team.
50 years ago: There was a rush in Bradford for smog masks, exhausting stocks at many chemists’ shops. One large Bradford store had sold more than 100 in about five days.
