Bees Ladies Seconds, ably led by stand-in captain Lucy Walsh, were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Halifax in the Yvonne Horner Shield.

The Bees Mixed XI finally got their season underway with a 6-5 victory over Leeds.
Matthew Clough scored four of the goals, with Gail Day and Simon Hinchliffe completing the tally in a good-natured game.
