Highdale B want to finish in a high

Hermits D are favourites for the title and still unbeaten but Highdale have Fastbats A in their sights as they battle for the runners-up berth.

Highdale enjoyed a comfortable victory over fourth-placed Embassy Police C, with Gary Foster taking the honours.

The victors raced into a 5-0 lead and had the match sewn up at 6-1, thanks to a treble from Foster, Mick Kosmowsky took two and George

Bak added a single before Embassy Police rallied to take the last three sets.

The 6-4 victory leaves Highdale 25 points behind Fastbats, but they have two games in hand, so there is still plenty to play for.

In Division 1A, Dewsbury Sedbergh enjoyed a derby victory over stablemates Dewsbury Tog as they cemented second place.

Sedbergh made the early running as they forged 4-1 ahead.

Mark Land had four-game wins over Nick Rider and Steve Crosby, Yonni Caspi also beat Crosby, and Ivan Lewis came from 2-0 down to defeat Rider.

Richard Lightowler led the Tog fightback with three singles and, with Crosby beating Lewis 11-9 in the fifth game, the match was in the balance at 4-4.

Caspi took the last singles against Rider and, in a tense deciding doubles, Land and Caspi came from 2-1 down to clinch victory against Lightowler and Crosby.
