Quest Taekwondo won two sparring gold medals, three silvers and five bronzes in the Nottingham Cup at the Wildcats Stadium.

Competitors were grouped by gender, age, weight and belt grade, and over 40 clubs from the United Kingdom and abroad took part.

The team were coached by Rick Simpson (Silsden), Kirsty Ryan (Baildon) and Master Mike McKenzie (Barnsley), while Quest also supplied officials in Natalie Kidd of Silsden, Jethro Cooke of Cullingworth and Mandy Mann of Greengates.

Gold medals went to Silsden's Jamie Kidd and Liam Burdock in the children five to nine years' category, while silver medallists were Baildon's Jacob Barnett (seniors 18-35) and Sean McGinnis (veterans' 35 years plus) and Silsden's Natasha Burdock (junior 14 to 17 years).

Bronze medallists were: Rebecca Weir, Baildon; Zak Spencer, Baildon; and Jason Mann, Greengates in the children five to nine years. Ellie Bowden, Cullingworth cadet ten to 13 years; and McGinnis in the senior 18 to 35 years.
