Bradford Ladies were medal-winners in the North of England Sprint Rowing Championships at Hollingworth Lake.
Braving wind and driving rain, the women’s four from Bradford Amateur Rowing Club (Alex Kent, Patsy Phillips, Harn Jagpal and stroke Julia Markham) were coxed to success by Jenny Elliot, comfortably beating Warrington Rowing Club in the Intermediate Two Division.
Several other teams from the club, including juniors and veterans, made it to the final rounds during a long day’s racing but only the ladies lifted a medal.
