TWO-time champion Scott Waites missed out on a third BDO World Championship title after being dumped out in the semi-finals.
Bradford-born Waites was brushed aside 6-2 as Glen Durrant moved a step closer to successfully defending his crown at Frimley Green.
Durrant and Waites had been involved in nine-set thrillers on Friday, both players coming from 4-1 behind to beat Jim Williams and Andy Baetens respectively, but Saturday's semi-final between the pair was straightforward.
Top seed Durrant, who defeated Danny Noppert in last year's showpiece, averaged 96.61 and hit six maximums as he set up a final showdown with Mark McGeeney.
