DENHOLME'S Rebekah Tiler has a dual role in the Jet2 Holidays West Yorkshire School Games at Tong High School today.
The British and European weightlifting champion will not only officially open the Games, she will also be inducted into organisers West Yorkshire Sport’s new Hall of Fame, which celebrates the county’s sporting elite.
Joining the world's strongest 15-year-old girl at the Olympic-style opening ceremony will be 180 under-nine pupils.
The event will include cheerleading and dance performances before the youngsters take part in a Level Two football competition, with the top teams going through to the School Games winter finals in March.
The event is also supported by the Education Network.
