Thornton Grammar School pupil Courtney Rivers-Gallagher, 14, won eight medals at the Malta International.
Competing as part of the AMA National squad, Courtney, pictured with her coach Peter Allen, won a trophy in every event she competed in, helping the AMA squad secure third place overall.
Her results were: 1st perfomance kata 14 years and over; 1st team kumite 15 & under; 1st team kumite 20 & above; 2nd individual weapons 14 & above; 2nd team kata seniors; 3rd individual kumite 15 & under; 3rd individual kata 15 & under; 3rd pairs kata 15 & under.
Courtney will compete in the WUKF European Championships in Sheffield later this year.
