Siân Morgan will be flying the British flag this weekend as she makes her senior international debut for Great Britain.

The 18-year-old former Bradford Grammar School swimmer, now studying and training at Edinburgh University, has been selected to compete in the Fina/Arena World Cup in Berlin.

The Berlin leg is in one of eight cities to hold this prestigious competition during October and November and will feature some of the world’s best swimmers.

The World Cup will be hosted in the Middle East in Dubai and Doha, and the Far East at Tokyo, Singapore and Beijing while the European events will be at Moscow and Stockholm in addition to Berlin.

Siân will be competing in the 50, 100, 200, 400metres freestyle events and is excited to be representing Great Britain competing against the reigning 400m freestyle Olympic champion, Camille Muffat of France.

All Siân’s previous international experience has been gained with Wales.

The City of Bradford swimmer represented them at Delhi in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
