A squad of 34 age group swimmers and staff made their outdoor pool debut when they travelled to Malta to compete in the Malta Easter International Age Group meet over the Easter holiday.

For the majority of the swimmers it was the first time they had competed in an outdoor pool which was a challenging experience.

The swimmers acquitted themselves admirably both in and out of the water and rose to the challenge in no uncertain terms.

The week long trip included five training sessions which culminated in the two day international meet.

In total the team came home with 36 gold medals, 47 silvers and 38 bronze. This medal haul gave the club the top overseas club placing and second overall to the home Maltese club.

Visiting teams included Brighton, England, and teams from France, Italy, Germany and Romania.
