Yorkshire's under-13 girls' team of Kate Nixon and Ffion Myers, who were playing together for the first time, reached the play-off final in the National Ten Regional Team Championships at Doncaster Dome.
Kate, from Ilkley Grammar School, and Ffion, from, Oakbank School, were beaten 2-0 by London, who took first place overall.
Kate won two and lost three, while Ffion won three and lost two in what was a real character test.
Yorkshire also finished second at under-11 and under-15 level.
