Bloeman top-scored with 17 points, followed by Charline Poirson (14) and Claudia Caramidaru (12) scoring season highs.

Bishop Burton College’s five players worked hard throughout, with 17-year-old Rachel Dixon scoring 28 of her team’s 32 points, including several long-range shots, but Dragons' tough team defence and quick transition racked up the points, taking each quarter (22-4, 26-7, 22-4 and 31-17).

At times, Dragons' poor passing decisions and missed initial shots gave Bishop Burton College the chance to get back into the game but in quickly stealing the ball back and dominating the rebounding at both ends of the court, Dragons still won by 69 points.

Other scorers for Dragons were Dana Kima (16), Rachel Tunnacliffe (16), Aleksandra Mazjakina (11), Esther Nabikolo (7), Jane Kirton (4) and Laura Moloney (4).

"With a several young players with a lot of potential, I am sure they will earn a much-deserved win as the season progresses.”
