Jimmy White, who won the inaugural Wyldecrest Park Homes World Seniors’ Championship in Bradford last November, is returning to the city later this month.

‘The Whirlwind’ is playing an exhibition, which includes a four-course meal for 30 people, at Odsal’s Cue Gardens on Friday, October 28.

White won £20,000 for his seniors triumph at the Cedar Court Hotel, defeating old adversary Steve Davis 4-1 in the final.

However, after so much Crucible heartbreak, White could have again been on the wrong side of the ledger as he was 2-0 behind to John Parrott in his semi-final, and could have been out of the tournament if the Liverpudlian had potted a blue.

White won his quarter-final against Cliff Thorburn 2-0.
