The Yorkshire Inter-District League starts this weekend, and Division One defending champions Bradford No 1 open their campaign at home to Leeds on Sunday at Undercliffe Cricket Club (7.30pm).

Bradford No 2 get their Division Two season underway at Wakefield No 2, while the Bradford billiards team wait another week before starting their fixtures with a scheduled home tie against Harrogate.

The Yorkshire Snooker Handicap has now been fixed and the initial qualifying matches will take place on Sunday, October 23 at Cue Gardens at Odsal. Registration can be made on the day between 9.15am and 9.45am.

The entry fee is £10 and matches are best-of-five frames with either the last 16 or the last eight going through to the latter stages, depending on number of entries on the day.

Final rounds of this tournament will take place on Sunday, November 6 at the same venue. More details will appear in this column nearer to the time.

Deadlines have now passed for entry into the Bradford Snooker Singles, Pairs and Team Hey's Trophy events and it is anticipated the draws will take place this weekend, with details going out to all players involved following this. They will be printed in next week's column.
