SALTAIRE AA: Sunday’s match was won by Neil Smith. The match planned for this Sunday is cancelled so the next canal match will be on Sunday, July 18. Over the last fortnight our bottom length of the River Aire has seen a lot of activity, as can be seen by newspaper front pages. The footpath on the right bank remains closed. Any anglers fishing for trout must report anything snagged, brought to the bank or seen in the water that may be of interest to the police. We look forward to the end of the coarse fishing closed season on Wednesday, June 16. Some anglers are having success at Tong Park, which should improve when the fish have finished spawning.

LISTERHILLS AA: With the recent closure of Wibsey Angling Centre, anglers who usually obtain club membership there can now join at Tackle 2U, West Park and Eccleshill.
