Cullingworth Olympic cycling hopeful Hannah Mayho has been seriously hurt in a training accident.
The 19-year-old was involved in a collision with a car while riding with four British team-mates in Belgium yesterday.
Mayho underwent surgery after breaking both her legs, as well as her right arm and wrist and will be kept in hospital in Oudenaarde.
Lucy Martin, Katie Colclough, Emma Trott and Sarah Reynolds were also injured in the incident, which occured on a training run between Brakel and Oudenaarde.
Colclough suffered concussion, Martin cracked a vertebra, Trott suffered a broken collarbone and a black eye and Reynolds hurt her hand and split her chin.
The British Olympic Academy Programme, in which Mayho is enrolled, are hoping to bring all five women back to Britain as soon as possible.
