Bradford Maroons were hampered by illness as they lost 99-63 at Loughborough Cardinals in EBL Division Three North.
The Maroons squad was already paper-thin and they were only able to field six players, who were not all fully fit themselves.
The hosts had secured the points by the halfway point, when they led 62-26, although Bradford finished strongly and won the final quarter.
Top scorers for the Maroons were Rihards Sulcs with 33 points and Dut Malek with 23.
Next up is a home match against City of Nottingham Tribe at Parkside Road Sports Centre on Sunday, tip-off 2.30pm.
