British record-holder Chris Brown was City of Bradford’s only representative at the British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
Swimming in the 55-59 years' age group, Brown came home with a national title in the 50 metres backstroke in 32.04sec, just outside his British record of 31.48.
His times of 1min 10.27sec in the 100m and 2min 37.61sec in the 200m secured him silver medals behind arch-rival Eddie Riach of Milngavie and Bearsden.
He also placed fourth in the 100m butterfly in of 1min 09.63sec.
Brown trains with Leisure Services coaching and training scheme under the guidance of coach and fellow Masters swimmer Steve Eddison.
