SALTAIRE AC

At least two double-figure carp are being caught each week at Tong Park.

The winter river matches start on November 15 and canal matches on November 8. Reduced rate membership of £5 is available from local tackle shops.

A small number of rule updates, use of second rods, keepnets and bait restrictions will be discussed at the AGM to take place on Monday, November 2.

WASHBURN VALLEY FISHERY

The heaviest fish caught this week weighed 5lb 5oz and was caught using Dawsons Olive. Fewston & Swinsty: Water levels still down, plenty of space for fishing. Daddy longlegs and lures now catching big fish. Rainbows feeding more for winter in the margins.

LISTERHILLS AA

The River Ouse was low and clear with practically no flow for last week’s match, which was won by E Harrison (6lb), 2 D Jackson (3lb 1oz), 3 M Holmes (2lb 12oz). Catches comprised of roach with a few dace. The next match at Pilley’s Dam is on Sunday, November 1. Final positions in the Saturday canal series: 1 E Harrison, 2 W Barker, 3 J Needham. An item of tackle has been found on the bank at Pilley’s Dam and can be claimed by contacting the match secretary.

BRADFORD CITY AA

The next match is on Sunday on the River Ure at Boroughbridge. Tickets are £12 all in and are available from the match secretary on 0770-6573115. Meet at Brampton Farm for 8.30am draw.

BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA ANGLING

Our last meeting was not well attended and the club could do with more members attending the next one on November 17 as it is the AGM. Meetings are held in the Girlington Conservative club on Thornton Road next to the fire station at the top of Leventhorpe Lane. Our last trip to Rhyl was cancelled owing to bad weather.

Result of Swainby open last Sunday: 1 M Allison 10lb 9oz, 2 D Summers 7lb 12oz, 3 S Hoscroft 7lb 8oz, 4 M Prudhoe 6lb 15oz. The next Swainby open is on Sunday, November 1.

BRADFORD NO 1 AA

Waters worth a try this weekend: the River Aire at Beal, the River Nidd at Cowthorpe, the Aire and Calder Canal at Pollington, Willow Hall Dam and Chellow Dean. Could members drop in any old keepnets to Wibsey Angling Centre.
