Bradford No 1 will be unchanged as they return to action in the YORKSHIRE INTER-DISTRICT SNOOKER LEAGUE at defending champions Castleford No 1 on Saturday.
Sajid Khan (Cuedos), Kevin Firth (Undercliffe Cricket) and John Wellham (Girlington Cons) are the players charged with trying to take the points from a tough trip.
Bradford No 2 have a bye this weekend from the seven-strong Division One.
In the billiards equivalent, Bradford No 1’s tie with Harrogate has been put back a week to Saturday, October 31 at Queensbury Conservative Club.
But the reformed Bradford No 2 take on Huddersfield No 2 at the New Cuedos Snooker Club, also on Saturday. All matches commence at 7.30pm and spectators are welcome.
There have been a small number of matches completed in the preliminary round of the BRADFORD SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Dave Stirk whitewashed Undercliffe Cricket Club colleague Anthony Herdsman 4-0 to progress to the first-round draw.
Meanwhile, Stirk and pairs partner Firth saw off Dave Brown and Lee Boocock of Eccleshill WMC 3-0.
This was also the score by which Girlington Cons pair Wellham and Dennis Jagger won against Aaron Downey and S Phillips from Birkenshaw Liberal Club.
Players are reminded that preliminary matches must be played by November 1, with results phoned through to Richard Hagerty on 07740-145777.
The preliminary round of the Flexprint Services-sponsored HEY’S TROPHY concludes tonight and winning team captains must get their results sheets to Eddie Ratcliffe by Monday.
The first round takes place on Thursdays November 5 and 19, with draw details to be sent out by the end of next week.
The YORKSHIRE SNOOKER HANDICAP takes place on Sunday, November 1 at Cue Gardens, Odsal Top. Play commences at 10am. Further details will appear in next week’s column.
