Femi Fehintola is sharpening up close pal Clinton Woods for his world title fight in Florida on Saturday night.

Bradford fighter Fehintola has been in Orlando for the week to support Woods ahead of the showdown with Antonio Tarver.

But it has been anything but a holiday for the English super-featherweight champion, who has been putting in the work ahead of his own big fight this summer.

Fehintola faces Salford's Steve Foster Junior in a British title eliminator, which is set to happen in June.

Speaking from the training camp, he said: "It's been confirmed as a 12-rounder, which will suit me because of my engine. That's just the fight I've wanted and I'm buzzing about it.

"I'm enjoying it out here and we're training really hard. We go running in the morning and then do weights and gym work at 5pm because the sun is blazing. I feel in great shape."

And Fehintola is convinced that Woods will successfully defend his IBF light-heavyweight belt against the brash Tarver in the American's home town Tampa.

He added: "Clinton is looking really sharp and ready for the fight of his career. It's the best I've seen him yet and Tarver won't cope with his power."
