James McCallum (Clowman Craven Evans Cycling RT) was a surprise winner of the elite race in tonight's Otley Cycling Club National Criterium Championship.
He finished ahead of Ed Clancy (Lambrow Credit) and Matthew Cronshaw (Scienceinsport-Trek).
The evening's entertainment began with the senior race, which attracted around 90 entries.
West Yorkshire Police's Damian Sharpe won a sprint finish to pip Daniel Birch (Obri Coaching RT). James Farnaby (Crosstrax RT) from Otley finished fifth.
There was also a five-kilometre athletics race, which was won by Ian Fisher (Otley Athletics Club). He also won a road race last Wednesday in Otley.
