PUDSEY A have been crowned Naylor Premier League champions for the second successive season and for the third time in four years.

They finished 37 points ahead of Crossgates, who played an amazing six games in the last two weeks of the campaign after numerous re-arrangements.

Wyke A only carded one victory all season as they make a quick return to the Godwin League, and joining them next season will be Ladyhill A, although rumours are rife that they will be losing numerous players and may not have a team.

Ladyhill finished level on points with Asa Briggs A, but were relegated as Asa had carded more individual winners.

The Naylor Premier League averages were won by Thomas Hanson, who triumphed in 17 of his 18 games, finishing with an average of +9.39.

Cononley have made it back-to-back promotions since joining the Bradford League as they captured the Godwin League title, finishing 14 points ahead of Littlemoor Sports & Social Club A.

Both teams will be a great asset to the top division next season, and with strong teams and good home greens, they will be sure to shock a few.

Brighouse Sports B and Eccleshill B were relegated to the Observer League.

Graeme Raey (Cononley) won the Godwin League averages, winning 12 out of 14 games and finishing with an average of +8.71.

Hove Edge A and Shipley Club B were the stand-out teams in the Observer League, both winning 17 out of 22.

A controversial rule infringement meant that Shipley Club B were docked three points, and they only lost the league by two points to Hove Edge A.

Peel and Asa Briggs B were demoted to the Bartle League but John Stocks (Peel) won the Haigh League averages, losing only two games out of 22 and carding an average of +8.59.

Harold Park have had a great season, capturing the Bartle League by finishing 24 points ahead of runners-up Crowghyll A.

Both teams finished some way off the top last season, but showed much more consistency this season.

Hollies Sports & Social Club, who played their home games at Armley Liberal Club this season, were relegated to the Haigh League along with Armley Cons.

Stewart Firth (Harold Park) won the Bartle League averages, despite losing his last two games of the season, finishing with an impressive average of +11.47.
