DARREN Tetley kept up his perfect pro record – and then made a cheeky request to appear on Anthony Joshua’s next undercard.

The Holme Wood welterweight claimed his 11th straight victory as he won all six rounds against Casey Blair at Leeds Arena on Saturday night.

Tetley now wants to step up against experienced Irishman Dean Byrne, who recently called him out for a showdown.

And he hopes that promoter Eddie Hearn might be tempted to put it on the same bill as new heavyweight world champion Joshua.

Tetley said: “I think Dean Byrne is the perfect fight – and it will be a very good show.

“Personally I think it’s a TV fight. Eddie Hearn, let’s get it on.

“Anthony Joshua just won the world title. He might defend it in London and I’ll be happy to go down there and have a posh hotel for a few nights. Why not!”

Tetley was always in control against late replacement Blair, a natural light-middle, and hit him with some good body shots.

He added: “I wanted to get him out of there but to win every round, you can’t complain. It was good to get the six rounds in.

“I’m 11-0 and I don’t want to fight journeymen all my life. I’m definitely 100 per cent open to the Byrne fight.

“I’m not going to bad-mouth him but he said I was scared after his last performance. That’s a load of rubbish.

“If he wants to fight, all he has to do is ring my manager and we’ll get the fight on.

“Now’s the time I need to step up and prove myself.”
