YORKSHIRE have become British Parks county champions for the third time in five years after a 16-15 win over East Midlands.

The white-rose team carded an impressive 12-2 home win at Pudsey, taking the aggregate by 47 chalks, with anchorman Richard Stockdale’s 21-10 the pick of ten winners.

At a tricky Barton BC, Yorkshire managed an impressive four winners, which, in the end, proved the difference.

Neil Mylan’s 21-15 was the best and, although East Midlands took the home match 10-4 and won the aggregate by 53 chalks, plus the extra three points for the overall aggregate, it was all in vain.
