KEIGHLEY AC

The River Aire is fishing well along local stretches, with several multiple catches reported in the past week. Member Darren Watson chose an established peg at Kildwick to land 40 chub in a session. Although frustrated by minnows and the occasional crayfish, he got his tactics right to add eight brown trout to his haul using pole with double-baited maggot fished four inches over depth. But it was the ones that got away that left Watson pondering how good it might have been after watching three large fish, including a superb specimen barbel, slip from his line.
