THE World Billiards Championships return to Leeds at the Northern Snooker Centre next week.
There is a qualifying competition tomorrow with six places up for grabs in the timed format and nine in the 150-up category.
Bradford duo Mark Hirst and Stephen Kershaw are among the players hoping to qualify.
Hirst and Kershaw are then among 64 players entered on Saturday and Sunday for the Jim Williamson Memorial, which acts as a curtain-raiser for the World Championships proper.
These start on Monday and run to Wednesday, October 29, to be followed by the World Ladies Billiards Championship.
Spectators are welcome at all sessions, which start in the morning and run through the day and into the evening. Admission is free.
