Ilkley's Sian Morgan helped to set a new Welsh record last night in the women's 4x100 metres freestyle relay at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old led off the quartet in her first Commonwealth Games final and they finished sixth in 3min 45.40sec, Morgan clocking 57.05sec.
Australia won in a world-record time of 3min 30.98sec, and England came second in a British and English record of 3.35.72, with Canada taking bronze in 3min 40.00sec.
Chloe Tutton, Mari Davies and Hannah McCarthy followed Steeton-born Morgan into the pool for Wales, and the latter later tweeted: "New Welsh Record in the relay and 6th in the final! Yes girls @ChloeMTutton @HanMcMc and Mari! @TeamWales #GoWales."
