Bradford youngsters were among the honours as Farsley-based Leeds Karate Academy enjoyed success at the South Yorkshire Open Karate Championships.
Jude O’Brien was in the junior team, along with David Lister and Lucas Mortimer, that won silver in the boys’ team kumite.
And Emelye O’Brien took joint bronze in the girls’ 14 to 15-year-old kumite, along with Kate Lister.
The ladies led the way for the academy, with Mell Finlay taking gold in the senior female kumite.
Finlay, Ashley Scott and Alexandra Simons (all pictured) went on to take the team gold.
Meanwhile, Leeds Karate Academy members were part of the England team who won bronze medals (male and female) at the JKS World Karate Championships in Japan.
