A weekend qualifying tournament has finalised the line-up of players to take on world number 26 Stephen Lee at an exhibition evening hosted by Cue Gardens at Odsal on Wednesday.

The session will start at 7pm with some of Joe Johnson’s academy juniors, including promising youngsters Charlie Hatton and Morgan Wood, playing Lee over six reds and the colours.

Joe Hirst, the winner of the academy’s knockout event, will tackle the professional guest over a full frame.

Five players will then take on Lee in a series of one-frame challenges.

Representing the Spen Valley League will be David Hall; South Bradford League, Gerard Smyth; Dudley Hill & District League, Wayne Downe; Bradford Cons League, Tony Borzi.

Mark Hirst will then be representing Cue Gardens, before performing some popular trick shots.

Following the snooker, Lee will play some frames of nine-ball pool against some of the best exponents in the area.

Lee is also bringing some sporting memorabilia to auction and will be available to give advice and one-on-one coaching lessons during the afternoon.

Cue Gardens have announced that an entry ticket costing £5 will entitle the purchaser to bring a guest free of charge.
