LISTERHILLS AA

The first day of the coarse season on the rivers is this Sunday, when keep-nets, maggots and cereal baits may be used. In the interests of the fish, they should not be confined for long periods in a keep-net.

The 62nd annual open match is on Saturday at Rodley, draw 9am.

Last week’s canal open was won by J Needham with a silverfish catch of 7lb 9oz, 2 P Woods (5lb 4oz|), 3 M Mannion (4lb 4oz, including a tench).

Some anglers are being turned away from club waters who are not in possession of a membership book or day ticket. These are available from Bradford tackle shops, as well as Otley, Armley, Pudsey and Keighley.

BRADFORD CITY AA

Sunday marks the opening of the coarse-river season, and therefore all the association’s waters will be fully open. Members are reminded to take care when walking on the banks due to vegetation growth. Good sport is expected after the three-month closure but care is required at all times where livestock are present.

The association are always looking for new waters, so if members know of any they are asked to contact the club secretary with full details. The contact details are in the yearbook or on the club’s website.
