LISTERHILLS AA

Recent catches from Pilley’s have included pike to 12lb but mostly smaller ones, all on deadbaits. Up to three carp have been caught in a session, also smaller species like roach and perch. The next match on this venue is on Sunday, December 2. The committee match at The Park was won by E Harrison with 50lb 4oz of carp on method feeder, runner-up D Jackson with 43lb of skimmers. Thanks are extended to the few members who have cleaned up the banks.

BRADFORD No 1 AA

Beal on the River Aire is closed on Sunday for an outside booking. Raskelf is continuing to fish well for F1s, roach and crucians on maggot, worm and pellet. The River Calder in Brighouse is fishing well for chub and grayling on float tactics. The River Nidd at Cowthorpe and Nun Monkton will be worth a visit in the coming weeks for chub.

GREAT HORTON AC

Thank you to all who attended our Christmas Cheer at Farview Fisheries and also thanks to Mick Bradbury. Despite a severe night frost, everyone caught fish. One angler in particular ran away with first prize. Result: 1 P Weston 25lb 13oz, 2 K Noutch 7lb 14oz, 3 A Hillary 7lb 5oz. The annual presentation will be held tomorrow at Great Horton Cricket Club from 3pm onwards. All members must attend please.

IDLE & THACKLEY AA

Open match on the River Swale at Swainby this Sunday. For bookings telephone 01274-615016. The annual meeting will be at Idle WMC on Monday, December 3 at 9pm. If any members have items for the agenda they should telephone the secretary with details by Tuesday.

BIERLEY AC

We are extremely saddened to announce the unexpected death of committee member Kelvin Batty. Kelvin, affectionately known as ‘Captain Mainwaring’, was always 100 per cent committed to the club’s well-being and was untiring in his efforts on the club’s behalf. He will be sadly missed by all.

SALTAIRE AA

The first river match of the season on our lengths takes place on Sunday. For details and to book on contact Barrie on 07902-493139. This is likely to be on the middle and bottom lengths. There is also a committee invitational pike match on the Ellis Briggs, Boats/Ibis Hotel length. These lengths are closed to pleasure anglers.

BINGLEY AC

After overnight frost, most struggled to catch in last Sunday’s Christmas Cheer match. Winner: J Parker, who caught quality roach in the last two hours for 7lb 4oz; 2 I Wilson 1lb 6oz; 3 Hodgeson 1lb 2oz, 4 I Needs 10oz.

HEWENDEN AC

The winner of the last coarse match was Ian Jackson with 7lb 13oz, 2 R Greenwood 7lb, 3 I Fieldhouse 4lb 8oz. The next pike match is on Sunday with a 9am draw in the car park, £10 all in on the morning. All members welcome.
