BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC

The results of our recent trip to Liverpool Bay were very disappointing. Not many fish were caught and it appears that the cod have, as yet, not arrived. In first place was Ben Kitchingman with 19 points (eight whiting and a dog fish), second was Stephen Robinson with 18 points (one cod and a dog fish) and third (seven whiting) was Dave Kitchingman. Would all members please note that our next meeting is our agm. Please try to attend this very important meeting. New members may also attend.

BRADFORD No 1 AA

Thornton Bridge and Catton on the River Swale will be closed on Sunday for our open match. Tickets are available from Simon on 01274-571175 and the draw will take place at the Golden Lion in Helperby at 9am. The entire Raskelf Winter Series for 2012-13 is now sold out, with the lake continuing to fish well – despite the cold weather – on maggot and pellet. Milby Cut should be worth a visit over the coming weeks for roach, dace and perch.

LISTERHILLS AA

Last Sunday’s sudden severe frost, followed by freezing fog, made for difficult fishing in the members’ match at Pilleys. Only a small perch was caught and the winner wishes to remain anonymous. A large amount of litter has been removed and members are reminded that all litter must be removed after a day’s fishing. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be expelled from the club with no more warnings.

HEWENDEN AC

The winner of the first pike match was Paul Whitehouse with 7lb 9oz and second was I Jackson with 2lb 3oz. The next coarse match will be on Sunday, with a 9am draw in the car park. It costs £10 all in on the morning and all members are welcome. Would all members please be extra careful on the banks as these have now become very slippy.

BINGLEY AC
