BRADFORD Bulls and Super League outfit, Leigh Leopards have been dealt a blow following the news that Keanan Brand will be out for at least two months.

The utility back joined the Odsal side on an initial two-week loan at the end of February, with hope of getting more game time.

However, Brand made his first appearance for Leigh in their recent win over Featherstone Rovers in the Challenge Cup sixth round, but his afternoon was cruelly ended after just 13 minutes, with the 25-year-old forced from the field with a knee injury, leaving the Leigh Sports Village with his leg in a brace.

Speaking to Love Rugby League, Leopards' head coach, Adrian Lam said: “He’s got a scan back and he’s ruptured his medial ligament.

“You’re looking at between eight and 12 weeks out, so it’s not good news for Keanan."

Unless the clubs can find an agreement to see Brand return to Odsal post injury, his time at the Bulls is effectively over.

In his short stint at the club, he impressed in his side's victory over Swinton Lions in the quarter-final of the 1895 Cup.
