BRADFORD Bulls' John Davies has been handed a two-match penalty notice.

It comes after he committed a Grade D offence in Sunday's win over Swinton Lions, as the Bulls marched on to the semi-final of the 1895 Cup.

The consequence of the two-match penalty notice, which coincides with the new tackling laws and regulations, means that Davies will now miss the key fixtures against Wakefield Trinity and Halifax Panthers at the start of the season.

It's not yet clear exactly which incident Davies was penalised for.
