IT may have been the first complete washout of the season but two issues were resolved in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League as a result of the weather.

The abandonment of Townville’s home game with second-placed Wrenthorpe confirmed them as the winners of Championship B with two games to go.

And in the Premier Division, Scholes' relegation after just one season was sealed when their home fixture with New Farnley was washed out.

Who fills the second relegation position will not be sealed until next Saturday’s final round of Premier Division games.

Three teams are in danger – Lightcliffe (175), East Bierley (168) and Morley (158).

Morley need to win their match at Pudsey Congs – who are safe after the abandonment of their game at Cleckheaton – to have a chance of saving themselves.

Lightcliffe need just four points from their home clash with Woodlands to avoid the drop while East Bierley require ten when they play host to Cleckheaton.

The destiny of the title will be decided next week with Pudsey St Lawrence requiring 16 points from their home clash with Bradford & Bingley to retain their title.

St Lawrence are four points ahead of Hanging Heaton, who visit Heavy Woollen Cup winners New Farnley.

There is the added incentive for the champions of representing the Bradford Premier League in the Yorkshire Cricket Premier League play-off semi-finals against the North Yorkshire South Durham League top Yorkshire team at Headingley on September 17, with the winners going on to play in the day-night final in Abu Dhabi in October.

Although it is still mathematically possible for Farsley to win the title, they would need the top two to suffer a catastrophic collapse in form. St Lawrence have 275 points, Hanging Heaton 271 and Farsley 256.

Leaders Batley were the day’s big winners in Championship A. They were without a game and saw their title rivals Yeadon have their match in hand washed out.

With two rounds of fixtures to go, Batley have 228 points and lead Yeadon by nine. They need 31 from their home games with Saltaire and Undercliffe to take the title.

Yeadon complete their programme at home to Undercliffe and away to Baildon as they look to pounce if Batley slip up.

With Townville crowned as champions, the focus is on who will be runners-up in Championship B. Fourteen points from their trip to Spen Victoria and home clash with Altofts will secure it for Wrenthorpe.

Methley are the only team who can deny them. They have a testing finish with a home game against Townville and a trip to Bowling Old Lane – the only team to beat the champions.

Buttershaw St Paul’s require six points from their final two fixtures to be crowned as Conference champions. Their remaining fixtures are Azaad away and Wakefield St Michael’s at home.

Second-placed Northowram Fields saw their last chance disappear down the drain when their home game with East Leeds was abandoned.
